How to Understand Typing Jobs from Home
April 17, 2009
There are still time-honored typing jobs available for people who want to work from home – they may not be using an actual typewriter, but a keyboard, but the work is similar.
Job description
You need to have a good typing speed and familiarity with a computer keyboard to be able to do this work. You ought to know how to make different documents, too, and have fairly reasonable English spelling and grammar skills, so that errors and mistakes are avoided.
You may be typing documents from one format to the other for example jpeg files into word or pdf files into word. Or you may fill in forms, ads, surveys, and other such material. You may get into legal typing of various documents.
Work availability
Online work may be available through various web sites, but you have to wary of scam web sites which take a lot of money to get you started and then either you don’t get work at all, or don’t get paid. Check out the credentials of any web sites offering work at home offers and promising unrealistic sums of money. You can also look at local classifieds for home typing jobs.
Money
Please don’t be under the impression that you can make $1000 a day from home typing – if anybody is promising you that, you can be sure that they want to rip you off one way or the other. If you can make $10 an hour, you should consider yourself fortunate, though lots of sites do promise an income of $50 an hour.
