How to Become a Successful Swimmer (Real Examples)03 Jan
Ryan Bennett is a young athlete who made his way in the world of sport through swimming. He is grateful to the Chorley and District Sports Forum for encouraging people to support local talents, such as himself. Presented as the Rising Star of the Year for 2007 by the same forum, Ryan is trying to be accepted into senior swimming events and hopes to qualify for international championships.
At only 16, Ryan has won numerous swimming competitions: 16 national gold medals and a British record. The Chorley and District Sports Forum has encouraged him over the years and he believes a small part of his success is the result of their constant support. The Sports Forum provided him with a financial award, but Ryan things their support is much more valuable. Ryan started swimming when he was only 8 years old at the Brinscall Baths. His favorite styles are freestyle and butterfly, and he hopes to be part of the Olympic team one day.
