His reaction was to pull the hand back, but the rogue nail had injured the palm even more, plenty of blood was pouring out of it, the first thing he did was to stem the blood flow with some clean tissues. This was the best reaction to stop the bleeding. After he calmed down, he asked for help and announced the supervisor. Never lose your calm when you injure yourself at work; if you are alone, try to apply the basic first aid then ask for help.
