How to make the best of your vacation to England

 

England is a really popular holiday destination for people all over the world. Any given day, the heart of London is full of tourists from many countries. London is the backbone of England's tourism industry. Here are some places in London that one must see to attain the perfect holiday experience. England is steeped in royalty. As such the places associated with its royal heritage attracts a huge number of visitors throughout the year.

Many tourists visiting the country will have in mind several must see places.

  • Buckingham Palace - the most famous and most visited of the royal palaces. Its at the centre of London and close to other famous landmarks such as the Trafalgar Square in Piccadilly Circus. There are great public transport links. Its also close to Britain's most famous shopping destination, Oxford Street.
  • Piccadilly Circus - a famous gathering and sightseeing location for holidaymakers. It is the equivalent of Time Square in New York. It has everything to offer - great shopping, theatre, movie theatres, Trafalgar landmark, etc.
  • Palace of Windsor - another famous royal palace on the outskirts of London. This is also very popular with holidaymakers.

Although, London remains the principle attraction, to give your holiday a more wholesome British experience, there are other places you should take time to vist. There are many contrasting places. Below is a list of some of the attractions in some of the major areas of England.

England is as well known for its inclement weather as it is for its love of the royals. Any tourist would do well to heed to some of the advice below.

  • Keep an umbrella or buy one there
  • Try and not visit it during the months of November to February if you want to avoid the rainy weather and freezing cold temperatures
  • April to September are the best months to visit as it coincides with Spring and Summer and it has longer days
  • July and August are busiest months and all the costs go up due to the excessive demand, so if you are a bit tight on the budget avoid travelling during these months
  • In season time get your reservations done to avoid landing in without no space to live as most of the hotels are booked in major tourist destinations.
