How to avoid prostate cancer There is a sad statistic that tells that out of every six men, one will at some moment in his life develop prostate cancer. This article will try to establish some guidelines on how to avoid prostate cancer. This however doesn't mean that the risk of prostate cancer will disappear, but it will at least reduce it to a minimal level. The first thing you can do to avoid prostate cancer is to develop a healthy nutrition. Vegetables are the best suited as they supply a lot of anticarcinogen substances. The best for this purpose are tomatoes. At the same time try avoiding red meat and excessively fat food. The type of food that should be avoided most is the one cooked over open fire, such as the hamburgers made on a grill. The smoke and the partially carbonised meat is packed with carcinogen substances. Another more controversial method to avoid prostate cancer is to have a very active sexual life. The theory says that through ejaculation a lot of harmful substances are released too. The strange fact is that some research only shows improvement for the case of masturbation, although I tend to think that the research itself didn't factor in the possibility that the subjects may lie. A healthy flow of vitamins within your body also ensures a better resistance to prostate cancer. As an important side note you should be aware that vitamins do not always come from your food. Sunbathing for example is very good because it stimulates your body to produce vitamin D.
Another way to avoid prostate cancer is by taking care you don't have a stressful life. Positive thinking and a let-go lifestyle can be more effective than any other means. Stress is one of the most important risk factors not only to prostate cancer, but a much wider array of diseases. Of course if you wish to avoid prostate cancer you should always check that the personal environment you live in has a low pollution. Elements such as asbestos, lead or mercury are very harmful to the human body. If you have the possibility try living not in the polluted heart of a city, nor beside a heavily polluting factory. Take these factors in your calculation when you decide where to live. With these tips in mind you can greatly reduce the risk of prostate cancer, but you must always remember that a risk will remain nonetheless, so if you have the feeling that you contracted prostate cancer don't hesitate to undergo a medical examination, because as with many other diseases prostate cancer can be much more easily dealt with in its early stages.
