How to get free broadband internet
Carphone Warehouse, the High Street mobile phone retailer, said it would start offering free broadband internet access as part of its TakTalk fixed line service. This will undoubtedly create a huge surge in interest in those wanting to take up fast internet access. The offer undercuts those of its rivals such as BT internet, which offers the standard 2Mb package for £15 a month.
Carphone Warehouse has invested millions in setting up a broadband network and is likely to lose up to £50 million in the first year by offering the service for free in its quest to win customers away from other companies, especially BT, for its rather new landline phone service. It also hopes to become less reliant on mobile phones, its traditional stronghold, by extending its range of services.
Price war

What's on offer?
The broadband itself is 8Mb, which is a lot faster than the current standard of 2Mbit Of course, certain conditions will dictate the actual speeds received. The closer a customer is to the local exchange the faster the throughput. A high quality modem or a router for network connection will enhance throughput.
