Today there is a lot of talk about arthritis, especially rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. With all of this talk, people are wanting to know if they have any signs of these types of arthritis. Here are the arthritis symptoms that you should be on the lookout for:

•  At first, your arthritis symptoms may be so mild that you do not realize that it is even arthritis. However, the thing that is important to understand about arthritis symptoms is that the recur over time.

•  The first telltale sign of arthritis occurs whenever you notice that exercising is causing your joints to ache more than usual.

•  If you notice that 1 or more of your joints is stiff for the first 15 to 30 minutes after you get up in the morning, then you are showing an early sign of arthritis. You may also feel as though you have just undergone a long, extensive workout at the gym and thus find it difficult to move.

•  If your joint creaks or is painful when you bend it to its normal limits, then you have an early sign of arthritis.

•  If your skin is taut and shiny over the top of a joint, due to swelling, then you may have a form of arthritis. However, this could also be a sign that you have either gout or an infection, so you will need to see your doctor soon.

•  If you find that there is a temperature difference between a joint on one side of your body as compared to the joint on the other side of your body, then your hot joint may be affected by either rheumatoid arthritis, gout or a joint infection. On the other hand, if your joint is cold and hard, in comparison to a joint on the other side of your body, then you may have osteoarthritis.

•  Take a moment to notice if your joint pain is associated with fever or noticeable swelling. If so, then you may either have rheumatoid arthritis or a joint infection.

•  Check to see if your joints have a gritty sensation. In other words, do they crackle and make noise whenever you move? If so, you may have osteoarthritis, which occurs whenever your cartilage is irritated and thus your bones rub together, making a grating sound.

•  Take notice of where your painful joints are located. If they are located symmetrically, then you may have rheumatoid arthritis.

•  If you think that you have the early signs of arthritis, then you should make an appointment to visit with your doctor in order to get advice and information about treatment.

•  One way in which arthritis can be treated is by taking Tylenol Arthritis, which will offer you up to 8 hours of relief from your arthritis, thanks to its extended-release form. Many physicians believe that this over-the-counter medication is the best way in which to temporarily offer some relief from the pain of arthritis.

•  The cause of arthritis depends upon various things. For instance, researchers have found a faulty gene that causes one type of osteoarthritis. This form of arthritis can also be caused by obesity.
