The Old English Sheepdog has an origin that is clouded in mystery with some believing his ancestors are the Barbone and the Deerhound, while others believe he is related to the Bergamasco and the Briard, and then there is still another group that thinks he descended from the Owtchar, a hairy Russian dog. All that is truly known is that by the 19th century he was widely used in Europe by farmers, cattle herders, and sheepherders.
Height and weight
